Your first workspace
Open Optamus in a project and start your first agent session.
A workspace is the project folder you launch Optamus in. The agent reads that folder, runs commands from it, and proposes changes for you to review.
Open a workspace
From a terminal, move into a project folder and launch the CLI:
cd ~/code/my-project
optamus
The TUI opens with the workspace path in the header. Sessions are logged locally under ~/.optamus/sessions.
Start an agent
Describe what you want in the composer and press Enter:
you summarize the open TODOs in src/ and propose a plan
The agent streams its transcript, tool calls, and any proposed diffs. Esc cancels a stream, Tab opens the command palette, and F1 shows the full key list.
Review the run
Every proposed change stays in the transcript until you approve it. Use the session log to revisit earlier work, or run optamus --continue to resume the latest session.
